Arctic Roll

EDIT: Arctic Roll is currently on Kickstarter where it will be released in a low cost Print and play.

I am currently leaving this page live but will likely update it with details of what this early prototype eventually became.
The design diary is here….

A roll and write with a cold draft.
Players control groups of hunters travelling through the snowy Arctic. They draft dice from passing ‘dice’ flows, using them to dig ‘dice’ holes, position hunters, or travel across the ice. But each round they must also draft one of the calamity dice, which will be placed on their ‘dice’ sheet by a neighbour.

The video below gives a brief overview then a description of the first round, explaining the rules and game play.
If you would like to give it a try then you’ll find everything you need to play it at home at the bottom of this page.

Arctic Roll is available as a free Print and Play.
If you you’d like to try it then all you will need is one meeple or player piece and 7 dice for each player (ideally 6 white dice and 1 black dice for each person but any colours can work). Then print a copy of the Player sheet on a piece of A4 paper for each player in the game.

I’d love to hear your feedback – on the rules, the gameplay or any other thoughts you have about the game.
